without trent he wouldn't be as successful imo, i grew up with MM's music but holy shit fuck him the fans who keep defending him are gross and this shoutbox is toxic as fuck

I wonder if weight loss (ozempic probably?) messed up his voice, because the autotone is just merciless, his unique voice is one of the best things about him and now it sounds like a damn robot on most of the songs. Instrumentals are ok, but nothing fancy, both his albums with Bates sounded way better in a creative aspect or just catchiness. Lyrics are the best part of this album, he's a great writer. All that stress and sobriety took a toll on his confidence and the swagger he always had, I know he fueled his art by darkness and pain and maybe now that fuel is lost for the cost of health and happiness and to be honest, I'm all for it. He gave me 11 amazing albums and 30 years of artistic madness. Maybe he'll find himself in the new version of himself, it's just a beginning. I love "As Sick As The Secrets Within" though, that song is hypnotizing. PS. I don't think this is a bad album, it just doesn't have what made me fall in love with MM. It's just enjoyable rock album.

New album gives me strong Eat Me, Drink Me + Heaven Upside Down vibes. 9 out of 10, great LP, Mr. Superstar.
