2009 – presente (10 años)
Lubianka was formed at the beginning of 2009, from the union of several members of Venus Anadiómena together with musicians from several other bands. With Lubianka they got squarely in psicodelia as well as in the experimentation with many kinds of instrumentations and sonorities.
Lubianka's universe spreads from the conjunction of sounds and noises seemingly unconnected and near to abstraction, to several jazzy passages, holding high doses of repetition and lysergic content. The reminiscences of Krautrock are omnipresent.
During the year 2011, Lubianka made several performances in the middle of the Monegros desert playing songs of what was about to be their first record. Several videos and images posted on the web testify of these performances.
In spring 2012, "Naufragis", Lubianka's first, record was released. The album consisted of 6 songs that lasted for almost 70 minutes. The album walks along diverse sonorous landscapes that take you indifferently to the mescaline desert, to the depths of the sea or to ceremonies of invocation of life and death, always with a flavour of a soundtrack. In 2013 " Naufragis, the movie " was edited, where the songs of the album flow on images. As above, several samples are available on the web.
At the end of 2015, the German label Tonzonen Records released the second album of Lubianka, "Cerimònies". The edition is in vinyl format, 500 180gms exclusive copies in black and golden vinyl. From its publication the album has had a wide worldwide echo, with an important number of reviews and interviews in the media.
In setembre of 2017 Lubianka has released a DVD named "Lubianka: Sessions al desert dels Monegros" that recreates live performance at Monegros desert.
Currently, Lubianka is finishing the new album that will be recorded in the end of 2018. It will be presented in venues and festivals in Spain as well as worldwide.
Lubianka's live shows are frequently supported by visuals that constitute the perfect wrapper to get in a trip, where sound are combined with poetical interludes. Lubianka's concerts grow in intensity to reach spaces of apparent peace which expand again and explode in a full sound and visual orgy.
