forgot how incredible kings of leon sounded to me growing up -- i remember a girl that i was crushing on showing me McFearless in high school . . . . lyrics definitely are becoming more relatable as a young adult ~
Still remember seeing the video for Four Kicks on MTV years ago and being interested, but wasnt heavily into music at that point, was around 11 or 12 when it came out. Still my favorite song by them just for the nostalgia I feel.
People shit on their new sound, but Mechanical Bull was pretty great. It was a great combination of new and old and I worry they won't repeat it. That's alright though. I'd rather have three great albums from them than nothing at all (YYM, ASH, MB). Because of the Times was decent too.
Its not a new one that you guys are very talented and some things are not working for the progress of the band: music now is a shit that is controled by the records, and the artists cannot do what they really want to do if its not selling. Said that, I think that the actual albums are not great enough like the old ones, but it doesnt mean that they are shit(like I see poeple here saying). I really like the new CD, as much as I like "Come Around Sundown" and "Mechanic Bull". People not enjoy new music because they keep comparing with that others things that they did before. Stop. Just enjoy and learn that every single album is a different form of the band to express theirselves. Congratulations for "Walls", its amazing. <3
