‘옛날 사람 (Old Movie)’ is Kim Heechul's first solo since his debut in 2005 as a member of the legendary k-pop boy group Super Junior. Following his tradition to release one rock ballad song a year, this time the singer and variety show host not only sings, but also writes the lyrics for the song. He's been credited as a lyric writer for Super Junior since debut. The music for "Old Movie" was composed by Donghae, and the music video was directed by Shindong, both Super Junior members.
Song production and MV production were funded by Heechul himself, who didn't want to make SM Entertainment spend money on his promotion. His wish is to release "Old Movie" as a gift for fans.
