There are many novels I've enjoyed
That have slipped my mind with my enjoyment
But the one that left me quite annoyed
Is the one in memory's employment
Time and time again I wonder when it was the last time
That I held your hand
It hurts more than I can
Standing on the Cowley Road and wishing we'd had time
For it to run its course
The ending was forced
Though I'm gone I'll still be by your side
