In Flames
Во время перерыва вокалист обратил внимание публики на тот факт, что "as you may have noticed we have a cripple in the…
  • Best lyrics I've ever heard.

    27 Dic 2007, 18:58 de Gveir

It's a list of best lyrics I've heard (journal title says everything XD ). They're chosen basing on my very subjective judgement. What may seem strange for some - I've chosen lyrics that are in great part nostalgic/'bout love. What can I say... I've got soft spot on those :P And mind that there is only one song per artist, so I've had to resign from many other lyrics, mainly not of this kind (like Dark Tranquillity - they've got many great lyrics 'bout "the end", catastrophe, doom etc. that are supreme). I'd like to thank all those people who wrote them. Quit babbling, let's start (next time - lyrics not-so-soft :P ):

    Graveland by In Flames

Mankind - proud conqueror and king
swings its flag of primal glory to the winds
Titans of the power-myth that failed
Neanderthal hunger for the flesh of war so frail

    So weak, so hollow-minded
    the primat flock responds
    the jester race submits

For each day of war is a failure for man,
    enslaved in her mordial genes
Illusions bleed from their fetid cores,

    Thine Eyes Bleed:
It was a really good first band for the festival. Lots of energy and a speed that made every headbanger on the place already wake up for what was coming. They played like 5 songs only, but it was cool. I am looking forward to their second album.

    Lamb of God:
I didn't know much songs from them, which helped in a way. I got a really good surprise. They are really good. Sometimes, for me, it sounded a heavier Pantera. The presentation was doing great until the power went out! It was so absurd! I never saw that in my entire headbanger life.
After 5-7 minutes, the power came back. Then they played 2 more songs, one of them was Redneck, which is A+
    Another cool song was:
Now You've Got Something To Die For

    Children of Bodom:
One of the 2 bands i wanted to see here. The intro was really relly funny. A big band jazz style a la Oscar entry.
"And now with you, the only, Children of Bodom!"
Alex Laiho is a excellent guitarrist live, a true metalhead.
But, again, the power went out! ABSURD!!!
