"The performance went without a hitch. Everybody really enjoyed it.
People have travelled a long way to see the performance. We had some sisters and brothers of a Catholic Order travel from Rockhampton (a town 400Km south of Mackay) especially to see the performance. Someone came from Christchurch in New Zealand and another from Adelaide, South Australia.
The soloist violinist was Glenn Christiansen.
It was conducted by Kim Kirkman a former member of the Ten Tenors and the base line was sung by Peter Axford of Opera Australia and Opera North."
