i think i love this band more than i love my family and friends. greg saunier is one of the best live drummers i've seen (get the new live album FEVER to get a feel of how wild their gigs are, if you've never seen them before).
The Runners Four is a great album to start with if you're a fan of noise rock. Lots of loud and noisy tracks on that album. I'd also recommend you listen to Friend Opportunity if you want something poppier with less noisy guitar playing. Depending on which one you liked more, listen to the albums that came before it (if you liked The Runners Four more) or after it (if you liked Friend Opportunity more.) Their newest album, La Isla Bonita, is also a good album to listen to if you're a fan of noise rock and punk music. It didn't get amazing reviews, but I think it's worth listening to at least once if you enjoy what you've already heard.
There's this pattern on the last.fm charts right now where the top ten tracks are the new album, in the order those tracks are on the album (with the exception of the more-promoted Exit Only). So the first track has almost twice as many listeners as the last two tracks, which is a shame because the last two tracks are quite possibly the best.
Seeing these guys live (Chicago) was one of the most unique experiences, they don't need fancy lights or props, just a group of super entertaining, creative individuals. highly recommend you don't miss their shows.
