Apparently, One Direction likes to plan ahead. The British boy band, which became the first U.K. act ever to have its debut album arrive at No. 1 in America, announced its 2013 tour, which includes two nights at Jones Beach on June 28-29, 2013 TIX: http://1D.jonesbeach.com
With their 2012 tour of the United States completely sold out and commitments lined up for the rest of the year that will keep them from returning, One Direction has gone ahead and scheduled a tour of North American arenas for Summer 2013… “Our fans are simply the best in the world,” Niall Horan said in a statement. “The support they have shown us has been incredible and we’re all so grateful to each and every one of them. We can’t wait to see everyone this summer, at Madison Square Garden and, of course, when we play our world tour in 2013.”
Fans gobbled up tickets to the British boy band’s May/June 2012 tour, as well as its Dec. 3 show at NYC’s Madison Square Garden. The group announced on Thursday that their 2013 world tour will begin a 25-city run in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. on June 13 and will stop in New York City, Chicago, Denver, Montreal and Las Vegas before wrapping up in Los Angeles on Aug. 7.
