when i read your shout i was about to start my workout, so i decided to work out to this is exile. decent stuff, but it's actually not quite as good as my 21-year-old-me-memories implied. there's good stuff going on, (especially possession) no questions asked, but overall most of the tracks follow a very similar formular - which isn't a big issue per se, i listen to plenty music that uses a very similar formular over and over again, but deathcore's basic elements just seem to limiting to me. anyhow, yea, lots of metal shit for me recently. i still enjoy listening to rap, it's just that i enjoy the unfuckwithable vibes of especially death and black-metal-influenced-thrash metal a lot right now. guess times will change again, but right now i have a tough time feeling the "elevated" vibes of my favourite rap artists. being at home a lot, not being able to go climbing or to gigs, i just feel a little more cavemanish. and that music fits that mood.

a yea were largely on the same side. rtj is real good but it aint catch me that hard. but its real good. new fbz is super good, but i agree that not all songs are born equal. quicksand got me for good, when im gone and blessings are quite good, the rest didnt really stick with me. i've recently been fanboying over the betterofead-tape and denzel curry, really. new bishop nehru tape isn't bad either, but as always with his material i feel theres too much mediociricty between the really good ones. it just feels... unisnpired, i guess. As my profile shows I've dug into Ab-Soul a bit. I really like Raw (Backwards) and some of the other stuff is quite good, but the whole thing hasn't quite gone "Click" yet. What I got for you? Boy, that's a question right there. I really got into some of the stuff that ScHoolboy Q does and I'm starting to feel like I might just eventually in the end possibly end up liking Ab-Soul. If you haven't listened to Projec 0 (Or Tin Wooki or Past Cloaks, for that matter) by Chester Watson you might want to do that. Extremely laced flow, can be a bit tiresome at times but generally it's very good.
