The world acclaimed Stellenbosch University Choir launched a CD ‘Heavens Flock’ recently that includes items from the choir’s 2017 repertoire, as well as music sung by the choir at the 2018 Llangollen International Music Eisteddfod in Wales. The choir swept the boards at this prestigious competition, winning all three of the categories in which they were nominated. Familiar Youtube and audience favourites included on the CD are, “Fast Car”, “Laat die wind my neem”, “Let My Love Be Heard”, “Supermarket Flowers” and “Baba Yetu”. Heavens’ Flock costs R150 and can be bought at all the SU Choir performances, the SU Woordfees Office, 37 Ryneveld Street, Stellenbosch, Monday to Friday between 09:00 and 16:00. The CD can be shipped nationally for an extra R100 to cover packaging and postage. E-mail woord@sun.ac.za to order your copy.
