On Members Only Vol. 1, then-underground rappers XXXTENTACION and Ski Mask the Slump God joined forces to create the Members Only rap collective and their first ever release. This marked the beginning of a mutual friendship as they would continue to increase their diversity and collaborate like never before. However, the two artists still displayed their versatility on this six-track project as the material ranged from a classic hip-hop approach on tracks such as “Freddy vs. Jason” to heavier tracks like “FUXK” and “GXD DAMN” which would soon morph into X’s signature style. Noticeably, like much of X and Ski’s earlier material, all of the tracks on Members Only Vol. 1 are self-produced with the exception of Willie G who assisted the duo in three of the six tracks present in the mixtape.
