met him in Brooklyn and he was really fun even though I don't think he has an easy time with English. I think he was a little surprised anyone had gone through his catalog, but it's still growing and still serving a truth in transient form (as in the recent albums einfluss and nordlicht)

Roedelius' musical memories of Forst "The Diary of the Unforgotten" OUT NOW! - With a new cover (see right) and new liner notes by Hans-Joachim Roedelius himself (and an essay by Asmus Tietchens) Bureau B re-releases this beautiful collection of recordings from Roedelius' legendary years in the idyllic "Old Weserhof" in Forst between the years of 1972 and 1978 – a compelling aural record of the Roedelius psyche of the period. "The Diary of the Unforgotten" (a.k.a. "Selbstportrait VI") comes as a CD digipak or (for the first time!) 180 gram high quality vinyl.
he reminds me of my grandad so much, such an amazing musician and more than anything else he seems to be such an incredibly nice and down to earth guy...probably, dare i say it, my favourite of the 70's german musicians...love him so much
