    - What was the first song you ever heard by 6?
That would be EXTREMELY difficult to answer because I've been hearing Walt Disney music since I was a baby.

    - What is your favorite album of 2?
    God Bless Tiny Tim

    - What is your favorite lyric that 5 has sung?
You got the swagger of a champion
    Too bad for you
You just can't find the right companion

I guess when you have one too many
Makes it hard, it could be easy
    Who you are
That's just who you are, baby

-How many times have you seen 4 live?
I have never seen her live :( She came to Vancouver last year too! Or maybe this was back in the Spring...I can't even remember *grr*, but I swear the next time she ever does a tour I'm seeing her live!

    1. How did you get into 31?
I got into Janis Joplin because my mom owned Pearl on cassette, and when I got it out of the dusty cupboard all those years ago a humongous spider crawled out on my hand. That seemed to bode well so I gave it a listen and fell in love.

    2. What was the first song you ever heard by 22?
The Exploding Hearts - the song was Jailbird. The first thing I noted was that they really must have liked sniffing glue. Or at least singing about it.

    3. What's your favourite lyric by 29? T.S.O.L. Oh, so many goodies to choose from! "And I don't even care how she died... But I like it better if she smells of formaldehyde!" And pretty much all the lyrics to "Red Shadows." It's such an eerily atmospheric song.

    4. What is your favourite album by 49?
    Bruce McCulloch - Shame-Based Man

    5. How many albums by 13 do you own? Portishead - the album is Third, just the one.

    6. What is your favourite song by 50?
  • Help me celebrate my first Canada Day the last FM way!

    1. Jul. 2006, 6:18 von ChrissyM

Happy Canada Day! This year is my first Canada Day as a Permanent resident, and so it's all the more fantastic to me this year. Many of you may not be aware of what Canada Day is. Canada Day, (or Fete Du Canada) is Canada's national holiday. It's the anniversary of the signing of the British North American Act (1867)which changed former British territories into a Canadian Federation. (Check out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canada_day for more info)

I live in Victoria, British Columbia, so I will be kicking back, drinking a Caesar, (or maybe not) and watching the Fireworks.

So I'm writing this journal entry for a few reasons.

    1. To wish all Canadians out there a happy Canada Day.
    2. To wish all our Neighbours to the South a happy July Fourth. Have a good one!
    3. To just give a little shout out to some awesome things I've really begun to love since I moved out here that I didn't know about 'till I lived here. Such as Tim Hortons (yum - Ice Caps, steeped teas, Boston Creams... …

As Mary Poppins and Co said when they were having a tea party on the ceiling, "I love to laugh". Man, that's a kick ass movie, although as much as I love Dick Van Dyke, his Cockney accent burns my ears.

I also love music, so what I really like is a fantastic combination of Music and humour. I have a "The Kids in the Hall" group on here, and I have been known to listen to a few Bruce McCullochsongs.

I also have a love of the 1980s - Especially the funky fashions, and the androgenous looks once sported by the super-attractive Morrissey, Robert Smith and Phil Oakey

So imagine my happiness when I found this. I missed this episode, so I was happy, happy to find it :)

What a great look for Stephen Colbert! I'm pretty sure I had a pair of those boots circa 1987 :)
