after the forgettable "pure heavy", audrey horne return very strong with "blackout". no fillers. perfect balance. has all the rock, all the fun and a bit of the melancholy too, which should excite "youngblood" fans as well as people who prefer their earlier albums. and get the limited edition, because the album is incomplete without "juggernaut" and "the end".
Self-titled from 2010 was their last good album apparently, before moving into utter tackiness territory. I guess they ran out of ideas. Or money. Idk if the new album even sells, but the press in Norway lauds their latest as 2014s best, anyway. Can't be a good sign.
Off the top of my head, I cannot remember any other artist who once had me so excited (No Hay Banda, Le Fol, Audrey Horne) but are now utterly boring (Youngblood, Pure Heavy). I absolutely agree.
