Substrata 1.2 is an ambitious project - we have artists coming in from all parts of the world. We believe bringing international talent to our town helps facilitate the exchange of ideas and culture while creating a unique experience for each participant.
Substrata Festival is small, and we plan to keep it that way - there are already enough big events catering to the masses. What we do is special, unique and meaningful. Every penny we raise will go towards paying for artists fees, travel costs, printing/promotion, equipment rental, etc – in other words, meet our budget!
This year we are adding two daytime free educational events, making the event accessible to anyone who wishes to attend, even those who cannot afford the evening program full ticket price. We hope those of you who follow the sound arts community around the world unable to join us physically, will at least be able to contribute – even a small $1 donation counts. Help us make it happen!
