The Wilbur Theater is located in the heart of the Boston’s Theater District. Recently converted from a playhouse, the venue now hosts concerts and comedy acts. As of October 1st, the main floor is general admission on a first come first serve basis: early arrivals are given wristbands for the front gated section, and later arrivals must stay in sections slightly to the back and sides. A balcony level has assigned seating. Total capacity is approximately 1000.

As of October 2009 the Wilbur now has a liquor license and serves alcohol.

I just saw Cold War Kids at the Wilbur, and it really sucks as a concert venue. I can see it working well for comedy shows, but for the concert I felt like cattle.
