Terminal 5 is a music venue situated in the Hell’s Kitchen district of New York City. Formerly known as Club Exit, which was shut down in 2003 by the Drug Enforcement Agency, the space was renovated in 2007 and became the newest and largest venue owned by the Bowery Presents in New York. The venue, known for its industrial/warehouse-like appearance and its distinctive three-floor environment, has since hosted top touring acts of all genres and continues to hold sold-out shows regularly. The venue was also the first Bowery Presents venue to offer food - empanadas on the third floor. In 2009, the venue opened their roof deck, which has extensive seating and a bar. The roof deck is open for ticketed customers before a show begins and often the first arrivals to the venue will wait in line on the roof deck instead of outside the venue to save space.

Terminal 5 has an approximate general admission capacity of 3,000 which places it as a direct competitor to Roseland Ballroom. The venue has repeatedly been the source of controversy, allegedly selling more tickets and admitting more people than the building’s fire code allows it to.

Because of Terminal 5, my concert spending has nearly been cut in half. Thanks for saving me money by creating the worst venue ever, Bowery Presents!

decent venue...somewhere in the middle nyc-wise behind webster hall, irving plaza, roseland, best buy theater, and a handful of other places...saw some great acts there already & really cant complain outside of a $9 jack & coke

Worst non-arena venue I've ever been to. Terrible sound, completely oversold and bad staff. I left a band I really wanted to see after 5 songs simply because there was NOWHERE I could stand with visibility.

Can anyone tell me if this place is 21+? If it is I might die.

    August 2008

never heard of this place til now (and that's probably because they don't have a lot of metal or hardcore shows. . . .hope that's fixed soon, NYC is running out of venues for that stuff)

This is a great venue!!! Although it recently opened, it looks great! There are bathrooms and bars on every floor and you can see the performers easily from first floor or third floor. I'm definitely going to this venue again.
