The Vinson Gallery was established in 1998 in downtown Decatur, Georgia on the Historic Old Courthouse Square. The gallery specializes in Contemporary paintings & works on paper by established international artists, with a focus on British painters & printmakers.

Shawn Vinson also promotes British musicians, and is bringing Billy Childish to Decatur for his Southeastern US debut on August 31, 2007. Childish will read poetry and play the blues during the AJC Decatur Book Festival, at the Vinson Gallery Stage inside Sweet Melissa’s at 127 East Court Square. On October 25, 2007, Vinson brings the Trevor Watts & Jamie Harris Duo to Eddie’s Attic in Decatur.
