Summerfest, an 11 day music festival in Milwaukee, WI, is located at the Henry W. Meier Summerfest Grounds. It features both local, regional, and national music talent from a variety of different musical genres offered on 13 stages throughout the grounds, including the 24,000-seat Marcus Amphitheater. Located on the shore of Lake Michigan, the event also provides the opportunity to sample a wide variety of food and brews from many Milwaukee area restaurants. Other Summerfest attractions include comedy acts, shopping booths, fireworks (including “The Big Bang”), karaoke, children’s activities, and more. All shows are included with an admission ticket, with the exception of headlining acts at the Marcus Amphitheater (However, tickets for the heading acts at the Marcus Amphitheater do include admission to the regular fest). Admission tickets run about $15.00, and there are numerous promotions for discounted or free tickets.

In addition to Summerfest, several other festivals and events occur at the Henry W. Meier Summerfest Grounds throughout the year. Other events that have occurred in the past have included Warped Tour, Irish Fest, Polish Fest, and the Harley-Davidson Anniversary Celebration.
