Next to being the largest practice room complex in the Dutch province of Utrecht, comprising seventeen practice rooms of which 15 rooms have been fully equipped with drum kits, bass and guitar amps, dB’s is a small venue (capacity of 160) where you can see upcoming national and international bands. The programming covers the widest variety of styles, ranging from singer-song writers to ear thumping metal. Beers and admission are cheap, so it is worth to give it a try sometime. dB’s is located just outside of the Utrecht city centre. The ‘sprinter’ train from Utrecht Central Station to Amsterdam Zuid stops at Station Zuilen which is 100 metres from dB’s. You can also take bus 3 or 4 to go there. But it is only a ten minute bike ride from the heart of town to the heart of the Real Utrecht Underground. So what is stopping you?

dB’s is een oefenstudiocomplex in Utrecht, 17 ruimtes groot. In goed verwarmde, geventileerde en geïsoleerde ruimtes oefenen 7 dagen per week tientallen bands uit Utrecht en (verre) omgeving. In dB’s zijn 15 ruimtes ingericht met goede apparatuur. Deze ruimtes bevatten een Peavey zanginstallatie met Shure microfoons, twee gitaarversterkers (twee Marshalls of een Marshall en een Fender), Ampeg basversterker en een Pearl of Ludwig drumstel. Van deze ruimtes zijn er 11 ongeveer 30 m2 groot, twee ruimtes zijn groter (ongeveer 40 m2), twee zijn er kleiner (de zgn. drumcabines, ongeveer 23 m2). Twee ruimtes zijn slechts ingericht met een Peaveyzanginstallatie en Shure microfoons. In deze ruimtes spelen bands over eigen apparatuur.
