The amphitheater’s original stage was a revolving wooden stage; it was replaced in 1939 with a concrete stage, which, in return was replaced in 2002 with a new stage. As part of the 2002 renovations new restrooms and dressing rooms were built, using the same structural specifications as freeway overpasses.
The new permanent stage housing has been completed in addition to the new Angie and Stephen Redding Gate at the entrance. The Glen, the outdoor wooded path up to the theater, will be updated in the fall of 2008 with more renovations slated for future years.
