Folken

The student society in Stavanger, or Folken, for short is the big, yellow building in Løkkeveien across Clarion Hotel. Folken provides various activities for students and is a place for recreation, entertainment, personal development and socialising.
Folken was founded in 1988 and the students in Stavanger finally got a house they could call their own. Since 1988 Folken has been the centre of student activities in Stavanger.
Folken is also a well known venue for pop/rock.

The biggest concert hall in Folken, Storsalen, has a capacity of 700 standing guests or 300 seated guests. The smaller concert hall, Lillesalen has a capacity of 80 standing guests or 50 seated guest. Folken. The rooms can also host events such as festivals, performances, debates, company parties etc.
