In dem für die Berliner Kulturbrauerei charakteristischen gelben Turm aus Backstein an der Ecke der Sredzkistraße zur Schönhauser Allee befindet sich der „frannz“ in Anlehnung an den legendären von 1970 bis 1997 an gleicher Stelle beheimateten Jugendklub „Erich Franz“.
Neben dem bis spät in die Nacht geöffneten Restaurant bietet der frannz heute ein ausgewogenes Club-Programm aus Mainstream und Independent, welches durch Tanzveranstaltungen, Konzerte und Lesungen begründet wird.
