The Stockholm Globe Arena or, in Swedish, Globen (“The Globe”) is an arena in Stockholm, Sweden.

It is currently the largest hemispherical building in the world and took two and a half years to build. Shaped like a large golf ball, it has a diameter of 110 meters (361 feet) and an inner height of 85 meters (279 feet). The volume of the building is 600,000 cubic meters (21,188,800 cubic feet). It has seating for 16,000 spectators. It would take about 40 years to fill the Stockholm Globe Arena with water from a tap.

The white “pearl’s” unique shape has become a symbol for Stockholm and Sweden alike.
