Over the years, Double Door has hosted several special events including the filming of several movies and television shows, parties for MOB fest, ASCAP, Maverick Records, MTV, VH-1, and Rolling Stone Magazine, as well as numerous local benefits and fundraisers for area musical, cultural, political, educational, and charitable organizations.
Double Door has a 473-person capacity and is made up of three distinct and unique areas. The main floor is home to the stage, a dance floor, and a large full service bar ; the lower level has three regulation size pool tables, video and pinball games, several television monitors that offer patrons a live view of the main stage show, and a full service bar ; the mezzanine level is the most intimate area of the club with its lounge type setting, additional television monitors, and an amazing view of the stage, as well as a full service bar featuring a wide variety of wines by the glass.
Double Door continues to be a good citizen of Chicago and a good resident of its Wicker Park neighborhood, receiving numerous business and music awards. With each passing year, Double Door works diligently to have a positive musical, cultural, and economical impact on the city of Chicago.
As the city has grown and changed so has Double Door. We have worked harder to bring better and more diverse acts to the city, helping secure our place among the city’s finest live music venues.
