co-owned by Gretchen Funk and Erik Funk of the punk band Dillinger Four. It is featured in the song “Seeing Double At The Triple Rock” by Fat Wreck Chords labelmates NOFX; the video for the song was shot at the club. The club is mentioned in the Motion City Soundtrack song “Better Open the Door” and in the Limbeck song “Home Is Where The Van Is.”

The bar first opened in 1998. It sells foreign and independently brewed beers and offer vegetarian/vegan dishes in addition to standard bar fare. The venue portion of the club opened in 2003, and is a common venue for local and up-and-coming bands to play. Nationally and internationally known bands have also played at the club.

Consequently, as a venue the 3Rock (as it is often affectionaly known, also as the Rock Rock Rock,) is one of the best-appointed, best sounding small venues in the region, and has a fantastic menu to boot.

The Triple Rock Social Club is located at 629 Cedar Avenue on the West Bank in Minneapolis, MN. Within shouting distance of the intersection of I-94 and Cedar Avenue. Parking is limited, and bicycles and public transit use is highly encouraged, partly as a practicality and partly as political statement.
