I've got the whole album and I like it rather well. It's more "The Ideal Crash"-ish than the previous two, although they'll probably never will reach that level of greatness again. They're a different band now, but this is one is rather good anyway.

Ah no, sorry, I should have known you wouldn't be hear it in time. The dEUS song was only up for one day, now it's a hiphop track. Then you'll have to wait a while to hear it;)

Bettie Serveert's "Palomine" is great indeed. And Spinvis is too, but on the whole Belgian rockbands are way better than those Dutchies ;) Anyway, I only just got the second Pains of Being Pure at Heart disc. Wow, certainly one of the best indierock albums I've heard lately! Not at all original, but really nice nonetheless.

And if you like Johan, you might give Daryll-Ann and Alamo Race Track a chance, on the same label (Excelsior). And Vengaboys of course : )

Bettie Serveert is my all time favorite Dutch band, (but that's also because I've visited all their concerts when I was young... : )) And the greatest band of the late eighties and early nineties were actually Urban Dance Squad, they even influenced Rage Against The Machine (who became more or less big with the Squad-sound).. A very cool avant garde band is The Ex. In Dutch De Kift is really amazing - like Kaizer's Orchestra, but in Dutch - and longer-lasting... Spinvis is great too, also his absurdistic lyrics...
