I've been member at Wolfgang's Vault for quite a while, and they certainly do have some amazing stuff over there! It's always cool to read the comments over there as well, reading people's experiences. Thanks for the link!

Great! You know Akutagawa. Kurosawa's "Rashomon" is based on his novel.

Hi Mark, it appears that lots of people have fond memories of their tape-making days. Digital music has become too user friendly almost to the degree that I think perhaps we're missing something now. I miss the days when been a music fan required a bit of effort to keep up to date with what's going on. I still have fond memories of weekly trips to the shops to browse through music mags and endless flicking through racks. Having said that I've discovered huge amounts of long forgotten music using the internet.

I'm really mad about Bourbon Princess, as you are. =) Monique had an amazing voice. My favourite music is "Dark of Days", but my favourite album is "Black Feather Wings".

Nasty things indeed, hope you get better soon! Anyways, I got an e-mail about the album too, great stuff! Got it pre-ordered.

Haven't been talking you for a while now! Funny thing, I actually saw the Denis Leary show you quoted in your profile now, didn't know the guy before. Anyways, we should get back in touch again!

I definitely agree with you there, there is much music that is still just appealing today as it was back then. It would be interesting to see how much of our music we listen to today will be around 200 years from now. Will it be considered classic art? or incoherent ramblings from a primitive and distant past?

About Me

Writer, editor, publisher, philosopher, foole.

"Without music, life would be a mistake." –-Friedrich Nietzsche

"I think it's time for me to finally introduce you to the buena buena buena buena good good good..."
--Mark Sandman

"Well I met a girl at the Rainbow Bar, she asked me if I'd beat her, and she took me back to the Hyatt House - I don't wanna talk about it..." --Warren Zevon

"Because most people think, "Life sucks, and then you die." I disagree. I think life sucks, then you get cancer. Then you go into chemotherapy. You lose all your hair, you feel bad about yourself. Then all of the sudden the cancer goes into remission. You look good you feel good, you're going great, and all of the sudden you have a stroke. You can't move your right side. And one day you step off the curb at 68th by Lincoln Center and bang, you get hit by a bus. And then, maybe, you die." --Denis Leary

"The hand taking up the pen had started to tremble. He drooled. His head, only after a 0.8 dose of Veronal did it have any clarity. But even then, only for half an hour or an hour. In this semi-darkness day to day he lived. The blade nicked, a slim sword for a stick." -- "Defeat" from 'A Fool's Life', Ryunosuke Akutagawa, July 24th, 1927.
