Zazen Boys were a lot of fun to see live. Mukai is one funny guy to talk to, even though we had difficulty talking to each other in English. The rest of the band was very nice, especially their new bassist, Ichiro, who knew the most English. Sou and Matsushita were shy, and didn't know much, but were funny about it. They came back last spring, but it was a 21+ show so I went to wish them good luck. When I told Mukai I couldn't come to see the show he just said, "Well... grow up!" He is the ultimate troll.

After relistening to ANDROID, I'd say it's a pretty solid and good album, but I don't really dig any of the leading singles that they've been releasing lately. I think Inazawa has a good sense of where he wants to go, but he executes it poorly. Plus, I miss his bowlcut hairstyle. :[
