In the US, the overwhelming majority of program directors, journal editors and political philosophers have--following the lead of our Economists--embraced the contrary opinion. The debate itself is, of course, philosophical... Personally, I prefer Political Economy (I'm all for specialization, but I don't believe that Economics and Politics should be considered separate fields), and, at the same time, I think a good case could be made for Philosophy, Anthropology, Economics, Political theory and Politics all being considered sub-divisions of Sociology. It's too late (in the US) for the first proposal to take hold, and the later will, of course, never be taken seriously. In the end, the social sciences are what they are--fascinating, informative, but not "truly" scientific.

Hmm well I'm mostly into the theoretical stuff, the traditional liberal theories as well as its critques, in particular left anarchism I find interesting. Also, hi-five for super musical compatibility! :D
