Und ich werde den James Bond im November sehen. Thomas Newman mag Radiohead. Und er hat 2003 das Eminem-Album gekauft und "liked it an awful lot". Ich weiß nicht, warum ich das gerade erzähle. Heute kam "Stan" im Radio und ich musste an Thomas Newman denken. Und dann lief ich an den Filmplakaten von "The Iron Lady" und "The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel" vorbei. Sie hingen nebeneinander. Ich hätte gern ein Foto gemacht... Thomas Newman ist überall.

"White Oleander" hat einen tollen Soundtrack. Im Film fällt er kaum auf. Eigentlich ist das offensichtlich, weil er auch nicht auffallen soll. Es ist geradezu... unbewusst. Subtext. Das ist das Stichwort.

Ach ja, Howard Shore. <3 Liegt auch an den Filmen. Hans Zimmer hat sich ja auf Filme wie Batman und Fluch der Karibik spezialisiert. Aber "Inception" hatte einen sehr guten Soundtrack. Also, besser als sonst. Und The Dark Knight war auch gut. Thomas kann aber auch auftragen, er macht es nur seltener.

Das Letzte, was ich gesehen hab, war "Little Children". Auch guter Soundtrack. Eher Richtung "Revolutionary Road" und "White Oleander" als Nemo oder "American Beauty".

Oh ja. Meine Obsession Nummer 1. Ohne Findet Nemo wäre ich wahrscheinlich nie auf den Mann gekommen. :( Thomas Newman ist ja nicht so präsent wie John Williams oder Hans Zimmer.
