theCrazy88 are a Hip-Hop duo from Singapore fronted by Ishmael 'Ish' Benjamin and Yushilmi 'Shino' Saini, signed to BrandNewFeelinG, an independent label from Singapore.
With 18 years of collective experience in the Hip-Hop circuit, the duo formed Oren Ishii in 2005 and received glowing feedback for the hit single Whutchu' Want.
Renowned producer Rauzan Rahman came onboard in 2009 and that heralded a fresh change and Oren Ishii evolved into theCrazy88.
The self titled debut song has received positive response upon its Facebook release. theCrazy88 kicked up a storm in the scene with two other ensuing tracks, Kix and You Ain't I.
Seen live, the chemistry between Ishmael and Yushilmi is infectious. Where Yushilmi is amped-up and dynamic, Ishmael complements with his placid and unruffled style. Together, there is no better pairing in the Singapore Hip-Hop scene.
Heavily inspired by electronica, Drum&Bass and the vibe of old school Hip-Hop, the duo lists The Cool Kids as their biggest influence. Apart from perfoming, Ishmael and Yushilmi MCs for Drum&Bass sets at HOMEclub, a haven for quality Drum&Bass and Dubstep music.
theCrazy88 is currently working on their debut EP. Executively produced by Rauzan Rahman, it promises to be quintessential Crazy88; hard-hitting but fun.
