About Me
it's a me a Mario! (okay, i'm actually greek and not italian, but it's still a catchy, Nintendo invented catchphrase.) i am a grad student at Maryland who finished the B.A. in Government & Politics at Maryland and decided the "One More Year!" chant was just too strong. thus, i'm finishing up my MPP (Master's in Public Policy) in May '07.
i got accepted to American University's Ph.D. program in Justice, Law, and Society in their School of Public Affairs so that's where i'll be for the next 3-5 years starting Fall '07. i'll hold off talking about my law school applications in 2010.
i'm interested in politics, policy, law, and technology, but i have numerous interests so talking with me will lead you anywhere.
among many other things, i do ballroom dancing competitively here at Maryland; before you laugh, it's actually quite fun. waltz, tango, foxtrot, quickstep, viennese waltz, cha cha, rumba, swing/jive, samba anyone? i've been at it so long i'm teaching newcomers how to do it -- that means i know the followers footwork, too, if any female wants to learn some fun dance moves. :-)
people who meet me usually don't forget me. if you know any of my friends you'll hear i'm a pretty unique guy. go on, just look at that mutual friends list facebook has. i dare you.
