Despite this, I'm satisfied with the niche I have found/carved in the blank wall of society. I lose myself in computer hardware, software, and books.

I love books. I cannot get enough of them. I read anything I can get my sticky little paws on, and sometimes write a little myself. Favourites are Orson Scott Card's 'Ender's Game', Donna Tart's beautiful and morbid 'The Secret History', Gregory Benford's stunning 'Timescape', and the masterpiece which is William Gibson's 'Neuromancer'.

I finished it at four in the morning, and let the book drop to my lap. I must have sat there, staring into space, a stupid grin of dumb ecstasy spread across my face, as I tried to work out what the hell happened. Then I cried.
