In terms of albums "The Essential George Jones" from 2006 is a pretty good overview. "I Am What I Am" (1980), "The Grand Tour" (1974) and "Picture of Me Without You" (1973) are probably his best studio albums. A few of his best singles: He Stopped Loving Her Today, White Lightning, Why Baby Why, Color of the Blues, Window Up Above, The Race is On, A Picture of Me Without You, I'm A One Woman Man, If Drinkin' Don't Kill Me (Her Memory Will), Choices, The Grand Tour, She Thinks I Still Care, Golden Ring (with Tammy Wynette)

Hi. Erm....well, i'd say his best albums are Pure Country, The Road Less Traveled, It Just Comes Natural and Troubadour. Or if you can find it cheap, get his boxset Strait Out Of The Box, that's a sort of "best of" his stuff from 1976-1995.
