a nice selection of top tracks there! yup, deciding between beats/bloops/bass and 'proper' music, a tricky business indeed

also, have you watched that video on the main page of Everything's Exploding? it's a new GGD track I think you just may love - and it's also really interesting to see the ways in which they use guitars and basically just how they craft that sound.

You're very welcome my friend. That album did pretty much the same to me when I first heard it - I was in a hiphop/minimal techno phase at the time and was like "wow. this changes worlds." Since then they've become one of my favorite bands and revived my interest in guitars that had faded since my last shoegaze phase. The things they do with amps, feedback, drones, etc are amazing. It's good to see, also, you listened all the way though. So many people have little patience these days, but Boris' music sort of demands it - there was a quote somewhere by one of them which basically stated that they think the world is attention-deficit and they craft music that purposely forces and builds patience, takes time to think about and appreciate, to unfold into the grand work it is. I like that idea.
