I just got done with my exams, so now is a good time for talking and typing on the internetz, although I also have some other, real-life stuff to do before I zonk out and do nothing for the next three months (did you learn the word "zonk" while you were in Australia? How's the Australian slang knowledge going?) Anyway, good to hear from you. I think I'll probably be heading overseas sometime in the next year or so, and at the moment it's a toss up between Norway and the US, so I guess there's like a 50 per cent chance I could be seeing you soon? Who knows, anything beyond the next couple weeks is usually extremely fuzzy for me.

I wanted to go so badly!!! I was so close, and then the people I was supposed to go with didn't feel like coming up/were too drunk the night before and woke up late :( I saw them at 131 Tompkins on New Years Day, though. Easily one of the best shows I've ever been to. I also saw them open for Bridge and Tunnel at Generation Records, which was fun.

Yup! My boyfriend Matt has a program that separates the layers of songs so instruments and vocal parts can be removed completely. For the "remix" he left in the vocals, drums, harp, violins, xylophone, and piano. It's very pretty.
