at least your knowledge comes from that show and not from jersey shore s2. and yeah it is sketchy as hell but I grew up in South America and have been to worst places and walked way harder streets and as long as you mind your own business you'll be fine...

downtown & the arts district are cool. sobe is full of douchebags. the best place for live music is in little haiti, ever heard of zoe pound? they chill two doors down from the bar and openly try to sell you crack/get you a hooker. this city is fun.

I live in Miami where people listen to 'urban' music or shitty house. this city is terrible for live music. and I can't even link people to a song since nobody has bother to put some of their songs on youtube.
