For some reason, in my mid-thirties my music taste is undergoing a radical shift. I need to figure out what I like again! So far, no consistent clues, but I'm listening to a wide variety of tags and stations and podcasts to try to pin down what I like.

Generally, I seem to like things that make me chair dance (like an office dork, not like a burlesque show), laugh out loud, and/or sing/scream along. I dislike contemporary R&B and lyrics that are all bigotry/brag/asshole. My love for good jazz and blues vocalists remains constant. I seem to like trip-hop, Shostakovich, and ambient electronica while I work if it's something I really need to concentrate on. The language of the lyrics doesn't really matter, but I do prefer lyrics to instrumental music.

You got a recommendation? Especially if it's something I've never heard of, I'll try it.
