Hi there Jim. I happened to come across a comment you left about the music of Maeran three years ago. I was extremely humbled by the comments you made. It was a very complimentary review. I thought I ought to respond all be it three years on. Steve and I don't work together anymore as Steve decided to pursue a religious vocation. We did our music for free or for charity and it was all done between being full time teachers. I still am, but now compose and work on my own as Dominic G. Ward. My music is still at lastfm if you want a listen, but please don't take this as Spam cos its still all free and I do it for the love of it. The comments about our persona on lastfm reflect poor publicity but I soon changed that. I'm glad you found something meaningful in our music because that is why we produced it. I hope you still find time to drop in on Maeran now and again and if you do get a moment look up my new music. All the best. Dom Ward

no-living on subarctic islands "acclimates" you. And I've discovered that the seals are more than willing to provide warmth...

Hi. Don't know about the 1st row thing. But I plan to attend the "alternative" climate forum, my girlfriend works for an NGO at the COP15 itself and I blog for the TH!NK project http://bit.ly/5owo21 so I'm on it ;-) Will consider a couple of songs for your list but I don't know if we share styles? You have a thing with cute brunettes, I have a thing with pale growlers :-) Do you know Kira and the Kindred Spirits? Danish... cute brunette... VERY cool!

thanks for the support! i agree with you; i think the situation is frustrating and the outlook is growing quite bleak. people are so willing to believe the skeptics/deniers. :( in regards to cop15, it's depressing to think that nothing might come of the copenhagen meeting. it seems like everyone, that is, major world leaders, will push off serious climate change legislation to the following year when the time to act is clearly now. i hate to be pessimistic, and i really hope it goes otherwise, but i'm worried that i can only see them signing a really watered-down treaty or holding off to next year (and who knows how long they'll stall and delay).
