You have a clapping tag! Songs with clapping are one of my favorite things.

I think Rilo Kiley is over. I mean, I'm just guessing, but I think the direction they're heading... I'm to assume. And I don't think another band album will be any good. More Adventurous was 2004, and I just think if theres another album it'll be a lot of regurgitating. I don't know though. I guess you can say that about many bands who started as early as 2001, but some feeling I have particularly with RK is that they're such a product of a single time period and they had to go after that early 00s period. And the reason I kind of had a bad feeling in my stomach was more to do with how I feared the reception. But if you loved two songs already from it, then I trust that it's probably a good sign that fans will love it. Being that your taste is THAT good... I think so. I think Rabbit Fur Coat and Acid Tongue are vastly different so your word on this one being different makes me extremely happy and optimistic.

Hey! Ha, it was December when I last messaged you. It seems like you're not much of a last.fm type of person so this site probably means nothing to you. But I was just wondering, you seemed to love both the new released Jenny Lewis songs. I feared this release... kind of. I kind of feared the reception of this and I didn't like the Jonathan Rice collaboration. I don't know much about the guy's work, I admit, maybe some people can vouch for his music a little, but yeah... I'm pretty much always going to shout everyone who puts the new Jenny Lewis songs on love.

Fantastic taste. I don't know anyone who's listened to The Brunettes. They're awesome.

It's only a 90 min. drive each way, which isn't bad at all. I just hate having to do the driving myself. [Nervous driver alert!] I also was debating because I didn't want to have to go solo. But I think I might have been able to convince a friend to tag along. I definitely think it's about time that I see them live!

Makes sense. I just thought that I'd check and see if there was a chance that you'd be going. I'm torn because I've actually never seen them live ... but at the same time, the expense, the drive, and the fact that their newest material isn't my absolute favorite is making me go back and forth.

Although in my continuing quest to learn about the locations of Michigan cities, I'm just now realizing how far that would be for you. ...And I thought I would have a drive!

Just saw the list of Rilo Kiley tour dates and thought I'd stop by and see if there's any chance at all that you may be attending the Royal Oak show. ? I am currently contemplating it... :)
