Great, back in time with music. Back to my youth, The days of disco, dance and simply soul.
The first years that I was allowed to go out on my own and dance the night away. I danced on
Gloria Gaynor "I Will Survie" and dreamed away with Tavares "Heaven Must Be Missing An Angel".
Love Unlimited stormed the hitparade in the Netherlands with "I'm So Glad That I'm A Woman" and went into a figth with Barry White about royalties.
The Dutch did it simple with the sound of Germans favorites like Boney M and Snoopy (Nl). European "soul and dance" did well. But the USA never was a step behind. Groups like L.T.D. and Chic went high in the hitparades of those years.
But my favorites were the Ritchie Family together with their friends the Village People. All because of the musicals on screen. It was the time of You can't stop the music, Grease and Saturday Night Fever. Wish I could go back in time…. Well, at least it's possible with music to do so!
