matt kane's brain

radio dj - i have done college radio on and off for over 8 years. i am currently mostly off to the birth of my first child

software engineer - i have a very interesting work history, including companies large and small, at levels as low as circuit design and as high level as interpreted languages. my resume is here.

food - my wife thinks i am an amazing cook and i do all i can to keep up the illusion. there are some things i especially like to make from scratch that most people don't: bbq, beer, pasta sauce are among them. i contribute to the food blog Way of the Spatula

music - in addition to dj'ing, i play flute. i am attempting to learn bass guitar, and would like to learn the chapman stick as well.

capoeira - i've been studying and playing capoeira since 2007. my apelido is pirata which means 'pirate.' My group's website is http://capoeirageraisboston.com and we are always open to new students.
