About Me

I've joined Last.fm back in 2005, when it was a great place to discuss any topic at all.
Everyone was wiling to debate any subject at all, back then.

Unfortunately, all that is long gone, since the Hi5 and MySpace kids totally ruined it!

If you enter a debate... and if a single kid gets sad and starts crying because he has lost a simple Internet discussion... he'll quickly report you as being a Troll... and Last.fm will warn you to follow the guidelines.

As such, Last.fm is becoming a perfect tool to practice the marvelous art of "talking to yourself"...
Perfect, if you need to practice a speech for your co-workers, or for your boss.
Lousy, if you're expecting to talk about music with other people.

Why do they still refer to Last.fm as being a Social Networking Site?
Where did all the Social Networking go?

A Social Networking Site where Social Networking goes against the Guidelines?
This makes no sense at all!

Nowadays, Last.fm seems more like a Anti-Social Autistic Site, seeing that no discussion can ever take place... and everyone must act as if living inside a bubble, without ever interacting with other persons.

Well, it's still a good site to gather statistics of your listening habits and be aware of concerts near you... but apart from that, nothing good is left...

Even the Artists descriptions have turned into a mess, since users' can't even agree on the genre a band plays, let alone on the rest of a band's biography.

So... we're back to the Dark Ages... when fighting was the only thing humans know how to do and communication was simply non-existent.

How sad!
