Thanks KingByTor but I must confess, I am a frost-bitten Canadian boy. I have lived in Japan for the past 11 years but I grew up in Canada, Toronto and Windsor. I know at least one other Canuck here that likes Max too. He's from Vancouver Island. Cheers

Hi Umut, I was in Canada when I got your shout. So much cooler than Tokyo - the temperature I mean. Back now. Still hot but not as hot as it can be. About 29 degrees now. Didn't manage to see any jazz bands perform when I was in Toronto. Only there for 3 days. Did a lot of walking so by the time any gigs started I was spent. Passed by the Rex on the way back from dinner in China town. The band sounded good. Trad jazz, not Free. Don't remember the band's name. Just caught a feew seconds as I was passing by. Saw a friend, Kelly Hoppe play in Windsor (just across the border from Detroit). Kelly doesn't play jazz much. Mostly blues and folk now. It was good to hear him @lay again. Anyway. if you do a gig in Tokyo I'll do my best to be there!! Cheers!!!
