Have you ever heard the Radiohead song "Life in a Glasshouse?" It's the last track on Amnesiac, and "A Face for the Names" is quite reminiscent of it, almost like a lo-fi version. "Life in a Glasshouse" features a New Orleans jazz band, and sounds really eerie coming after a whole album of electronica. It's kind of like, after spending 40 minutes traveling through space, you are plopped down right in the middle of a New Orleans funeral. I think Devin would be very happy if I told him all this, and I think I will.

P.S., Man City's similar artists are as follows: the Duke of Stash, the Jay Everett Band, Darrin Bradbury (solo and with the Sneak Attack), plus Lysander and Argopelter, which make the most sense being Alex and Will's earlier bands.

Have you seen Amateur Astronomy's similar artists? Apollo Poetry, which is of course me and Michelle's doing. It seems quite fitting, seeing as I met Apollo in mid-August right around the time of the last Antler Jam, and I would say as of right now he and Amateur Astronomy rank as my favorite artists I "know." Also on the list are Grandeur, which is Ben Iturralde, that song "Changing all the Time" (which I gave Michelle at the end of '08), Ghosts of Dance, an electro band that I know for a song called "Walking Through Gardens," which I got on a mix from Michelle this spring, and, of course, both iterations of myself (mostly you, a little Michelle). I like it!

Picture is of my least photogenic friend. And actually, I had my winamp on random when Beach Boys started playing. I thought it was a very unusual occurrence, like Last.Fm and winamp were working together on some cosmic level.

It's a really solid EP, I would say their best yet, though I am a big fan of Water Curses. (By the way, Animal Collective's complete EPs are just a few seconds shy of fitting on one CD, and you know I that made me very sad) Having listened to it, what do you think?

As I look at your last.fm profile, there is an ad for Katy Perry's MTV Unplugged. THEY. JUST. KNOW.
