'She Cries Your Name' is still one of the best film clips of all time. That landscape slays me. She's playing two (soon to be three) sold out shows at an old quarry here in the next week or two. I've been trying to decide if I should go or not, but I think maybe there's too much water under that bridge. Would have been great to see her back then!

And while every lie speaks the language of love, it never held the meaning I was thinking of. And I can't decide over right or wrong, I guess sometimes you need a place where you belong.

Think I'm with you on the Girls album. Listened to it once, and it's fine, but no great desire to go back to it. I've been enjoying the new Twin Sister, though again not as much as the last one.

What's your view on the new Girls effort? Not so sure myself.

Yep, very much enjoying I Break Horses. MBV meets Vangelis - pretty good mix!

No wait, that was Dexys Midnight Runners, and it was Eileen anyway. Ergh, I blame it on being 1:30am. :)

Yo S! Hope you're not in too much of the path of Irene (no references to J Geils Band songs here). My shout is of a musical nature, however. I wanted to let you know that thanks to your recommendation some time ago, I can happily say that I am madly in love with Lilys and may never have stumbled across them as they are somewhat obscure. Also, Ginger may be one of the most addictive songs of all time. The end!

my playlists on there are such a mess, need a clear out. mostly aren't even playlists; just albums that i wanted to remember to listen to. there's even a 'for sara' playlist; when i started making one for you; but it was abandoned, for being rubbish! x

is it the watered-down version we have now, that they've launched with over there? 'spotify open' - can only play a track 5 times (ever) and have a time limit? used to be unlimited and paid for by ads. think the record labels insisted on play limit before they would let them in to US. If my internet connection was reliable, i'd pay the £5 a month, but it's not :-( Still, it is good, isn't it!
