About Me

i'm a fine arts painter w/ a spinal cord injury. i love listening to music as well as playing it. my main love oscillates from shoegazer bands to post punk and noise bands. as primarily a bass player, i love strong, heavy bass lines. and yet, angular guitar sounds keep me coming back for more. my strongest influences on my playing are the velvet underground, the 1st four lps by the cure, joy division, lush and the stone roses.

i enjoy delving into new bands to relish new sounds. 89% of my life is spent with non radio music colouring my days. it makes moments cleaning, painting, exercising, living in general special. my tastes bounce all over the board from Grant Green to 18th Dye to Silver Apples to BDP to Meat Beat Manifesto and Amp. listen to my library radio and a few threadbare leads can be found. i love a beat which invites me to dance/move. loud, disjointed squalls of guitar noise are pleasant to my ears and i enjoy a clever or romantic lyric.
