I've got a fairly diverse taste in music. While I might have my favorite artists/genres, I'm open to trying out any artist at least once to determine if I like them or not. I don't see the point in dismissing something off hand without giving it a chance - I could miss out on something I'd have liked if I do that. While the bulk of my music collection might be more "mainstream", I do have several "offbeat" gems as well. Feel free to suggest anything to me and I'll give it a shot. I can't promise I'll like it, but I can promise that I'll listen. :) I have a tendancy to balk against music forced down my throat, but once that intense pressure is gone, I usually end up liking it.

I still enjoy most of the music I listened to growing up. Chances are if I liked it once, I'll keep liking it forever.
